Residence and Spirituality Centre, Glasgow for the Society of Jesus British Province
The latest addition to the campus of St Aloysius College brings together two independent but related facilities back within the St Aloysius fold.
The third in a series of beautifully executed buildings, the judges felt that these residences prove that by utilising a contemporary palette of materials and an acute sense of place, architects can create buildings of their own time and insert them into sensitive historic areas of the city. The project had sophistication and balance and is a credit to the practice.
