Marionville Court Care Home, Edinburgh for City of Edinburgh Council
A new 60-bed residential care home and day care facility which exceeds current care standards and is designed in line with Edinburgh's City plan for older people "A City for All Ages".
The judges applauded what is a 'very fine' building indeed - well considered, excellent build quality and fitting extremely well into its context. It creates a model environment for the elderly with a clear layout and colour schemes to assist in way finding. One judge was so impressed, that he has signed himself in for 2008.
