GIA Photography Competition 2008

The inaugural GIA Photography Competition was launched in November 2007. The objective was to find the best photographs taken by GIA members which would be judged on composition, lighting, print quality, inventiveness and creativity.

The judging panel was chaired by Colin Prior, one of the world's top landscape photographers. There were three categories for entries -

  • Rural Landscape & Nature
  • Urban Landscape & Architecture
  • Social Landscape & Portrait

From over 150 photographs submitted one winner was chosen for each category, each winning £100.00 of Jessops vouchers, and an overall winner who will win £500.00 of vouchers.

The GIA kindly acknowledge the generous sponsorship of the photography competition by the Forrest Group.
