The judges decided that the inaugural GIA Supreme Award should be awarded to a building, the Castlemilk Stables Block in Castlemilk, Glasgow by Elder and Cannon for Glasgow Building Preservation Trust.

A second GIA Supreme Award was awarded to an individual, Fiona Sinclair, for her many years work on behalf of the GIA.
